TealScript Helps Palm Users Write Right
PALMSOURCE DEVELOPER SEMINAR, SAN MATEO, Calif. -- May 6, 2003 -- TealPoint Software™, the leading developer of business and consumer applications for Palm OS®, announced today the release of TealScript™ version 3.05 for Palm Powered™ handhelds. Replacing the built-in Graffiti and Graffiti-2 text-recognition systems, TealScript, from TealPoint Software, offers an improved, tunable alternative. Instead of forcing the user to adjust to a fixed set of reference strokes, TealScript is fully configurable, allowing training and modifying of existing strokes or addition of new ones for improved personal handwriting recognition. TealScript also supports advanced features such as macro strokes, multi-stroke characters, easy capitalization, better accuracy, and entering text using the full screen surface of Palm Powered devices running Palm OS 5. TealScript retails for $19.95. Availability is immediate on the TealPoint Software web site at www.tealpoint.com, and other Internet sites.
"TealScript lets you train your handheld to better recognize your writing, a feature key to users who need more teaching capability than what is in the standard Graffiti and Graffiti-2 systems." said Vince Lee, president of TealPoint Software. "Like most people, I used to have difficulty entering certain letters under Graffiti, but was powerless to do anything about it. With TealScript, I was able to fix those problems, and even add extra strokes for macros and special characters that Graffiti doesn't support."
