PalmSource Announces Sponsors For Its European Developer Conference In Munich

LONDON, UK, August 5, 2003 - PalmSource, provider of the popular operating system for handheld and smartphone devices, and Palm OS® subsidiary of Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM), unveiled today details of the European Developer Conference on 22-23 September 2003. Taking place during Munich's internationally famous Oktoberfest, the two-day conference is structured to address both the technical and business information needs of Palm OS developers, deliver the latest information about the Palm OS platform, and showcase the most recent mobile device developments from world class Palm OS licensees.

Confirmed Palm OS licensees to sponsor the event include Intel, Palm Solutions Group, Samsung, Handspring, Symbol, Tapwave and Fossil. Highlights of the European Developer Conference include:

  • New Palm OS 5 tools and a sneak peek at the upcoming Palm OS 6.
  • PalmSource "Boot-Camp" for new developers will take place on Sunday 21st September (during the afternoon preceding the opening of the conference) where PalmSource engineers will offer European developers a basic tutorial on how to program for Palm OS.
