PalmSource Appoints Radianz President and CEO P. Howard Edelstein to Board of Directors
SUNNYVALE, Calif., Sept. 19, 2003 - PalmSource, provider of the popular operating system for handheld and smartphones, and Palm OS® subsidiary of Palm, Inc. (Nasdaq: PALM) has announced the appointment of P. Howard Edelstein to its board of directors. Edelstein is president and chief executive officer at Radianz, an independent company with the world's largest Internet Protocol-based network for the global financial services industry. Radianz uses its network to provide IP connectivity and services designed to meet the demands of professionals in the finance community.
Edelstein previously served as an entrepreneur in residence at Warburg Pincus, LLC, a private equity and venture capital firm. Prior to Warburg Pincus, Edelstein served as president and chief executive officer of Thomson Financial Electronics Settlements Group, which he founded and later merged with the Depository Trust and Clearing Corp.'s Tradesuite business to create OMGEO, the industry utility for straight-through processing.

Edelstein currently serves on the board of directors of Alacra Inc. and Skillsoft Corp.
Edelstein joins PalmSource board members, Chairman Eric Benhamou, John B. Shoven, Satjiv S. Chahil, Robert J. Finocchio, Jr., Jean-Louis Gassテゥe and David Nagel.
