MUNICH, Germany, September 28, 2004 — At the PalmSource™ Euro DevCon 2004, Loxos gmbh today announced the new Hybrid Smart&Magnetic Card Reader, an add-on hardware solution for Palm Powered™ handhelds.

Just clip the device on the back of the Palm Powered handheld and you are ready to go!

Attached to a Palm Powered device equipped with universal connector support, it becomes one unit. A user gains the ability to control and handle any smart, chip or magnetic card. This state-of the-art portable Smartcardreader is designed to compare data, check validation, personalisation and perform as a vending machine.

Due to the increased radius of Palm Powered devices including WLAN, Bluetooth, and IR, and its ability to run different applications, it expands the possibilities for mobile functionality. This solution makes collecting data easy and wireless printing a breeze.

We recommend the small ruggedized Bluetooth IR Printer FTP120 from Fujitsu.
