Pdassi Launches Palm OS Software Portal in France
BERLIN and MUNICH, Germany, PalmSource™ Euro DevCon, September 28, 2004 — Today, Pdassi, one of Europe's leading distributors of mobile device software, opened its first French online software shop for users of Palm Powered™ smartphones and mobile devices. For the first time, French speaking Palm OS® device users can browse, download and buy software from a Pdassi website in their own language.
The Pdassi France website offers a wide range of applications, including games, reference works, agenda replacements, travel planners and office applications. The software shop offers a broad selection of the most popular and widely used Palm OS software titles with over 500 applications now available for purchase and download.
The new software shop offers French speakers support for their language enabling easier in-store browsing and customer support. In addition, Pdassi offers support at the application level because many applications are available in French.
"We beleive that the launch of the new Palm OS software store is an important step in creating a successful European marketplace for Palm OS content," said Larry Berkin, director of developer marketing at PalmSource. French speakers can find and download Palm OS software now from the Pdassi France website, located at www.pdassi.com/fr.
