Palm Powered Mobile World Continues to Gain Momentum
PalmSource announces new infrastructure partners JP Mobile and MessageVine
CTIA WIRELESS, New Orleans, LA, March 14, 2005 — PalmSource, Inc. (NASDAQ: PSRC), provider of Palm OS®, a leading operating system powering next generation phones and mobile devices today announced two new Palm Powered™ Mobile World infrastructure partners; JP Mobile and MessageVine. Their contributions to the Palm Powered Mobile World program are expected to enhance the user experience of Palm Powered phones and other wireless devices by enabling new wireless services. JP Mobile and MessageVine both provide infrastructure solutions that enable mobile operators to deploy Palm Powered smartphones and wireless devices.
The Palm Powered Mobile World program continues to gain momentum in establishing a wireless ecosystem with the world's leading mobile operators, mobile infrastructure and middleware partners, now with 23 members.

With SureWave Mobile Office, enterprises can qucikly, easily and securely push e–mail/PIM and group applications to mobile professional using a variety of wireless devices. SureWave Mobile Defense, also from JP Mobile, is designed to be seamlessly integrated with SureWave Mobile Office to provide 100 percent behind–the–firewall server protection, over–the–air encryption and on–device security for complete, end–to–end protection. Both SureWave products can be wirelessly provisioned over–the–air, eliminating the cost and hassle of IT having to manually provision each individual device in use across the enterprise.
MessageVine
MessageVine, a developer of professional instant messaging (IM), presence and real–time communications solutions for the Palm OS platform. Thorough its collaboration with PalmSource, MessageVine will provide IM and presence solutions for the Palm OS platform. MessageVine's solutions is designed to enable users to enjoy always–on, secure real–time communications based on rich presence information, through a friendly and intuitive user interface on their mobile device. The solution, offered to mobile operators, service providers and enterprises, connects consumers and business users to both public and enterprise IM systems.
