MobileAssist enables fast real–time remote support to diagnose and solve user problems, increasing the productivity of the mobile workforce in the enterprise

SAN JOSE, Calif., PalmSource Mobile Summit and DevCon, May 24, 2005 — MobilityWare today announced the release of the MobileAssist software product for Palm Powered™ devices and smartphones. MobileAssist is one of the first products available that enables enterprises and software vendors to provide real–time remote support of users and applications on a Palm Powered device.

Surveys show that users ranked the time to resolve a problem as the number one support complaint. Increasingly sophisticated applications are being deployed to mobile devices every day. When the application is critical to the enterprise's business, any downtime for a user results in lost revenue.

MobileAssist enables a support agent to have real–time access and control of the user's device. The agent can monitor the user's screen to see the exact problem. They can also control the Palm Powered device from his desktop to further troubleshoot the problem, or even show the user what he's doing wrong. The agent can use MobileAssist to examine databases and other system parameters, and then push updated files and software to the Palm Powered device as necessary. This results in quicker problem resolution and a more satisfied user, not to mention reduced support costs and revenue loss. MobileAssist turns customer support into a competitive advantage.
